Harrod’s London – Department Store

Harrod’s Department Store London, UK

On our trip to England, while we were in London, we visited Harrod’s Department Store. The restaurants were the most interested of course because I love food, but there are also large variety of luxury shopping outlets. We mainly strolled around and I would have to say that the most department was the candy/dessert shop in the middle of the main level. As you can see in the video below, there are many different types of treats and sweats.

The Roastery & Coffee Bar

The Roastery and Coffee Bar is situated on the main level past the fresh market. In an “Art Deco-style” the coffee bar is the main resting area for Harrod’s shoppers. By day a coffee bar and by night a coffee martini bar catering to the happy hour enthusiasts. Overseen by the master roaster, Bartosz Ciepaj. Visit the Harrod’s website to see more and check out what the Signature Roast: Knightsbridge is all about. Click Here.

The Bakery

The Bakery seems simple enough, but thanks to the master baker Lance Gardener’s passion for bread this spot may be the hidden gem of Harrod’s. When visiting Harrod’s you cannot get past the fresh aroma of baked bread, the source of which is their signature sourdough.

The Tea Room

Formerly known as the Gregorian Room, Harrod’s Tea Room is located on the top floor and is the perfect place for afternoon tea. I will be going to afternoon tea on my next visit to London at Harrod’s Tea Room. Designed in the Gregorian style with lovely velvet lounge aesthetics, the tea room is the ultimate luxury which needs to be appreciated by Londoners and Traveler alike.

These may be just a few of the outlets at Harrod’s in London but there is so much more to explore than you think; from: the luxury shopping or the wellness clinic; to the 19 specialized restaurant outlets or fresh markets. There is more than you think in this labyrinth of luxury; you just have to take a look for yourself and get lost in the awe.

If you haven’t seen my last post, Afternoon Tea at the Number Sixteen Hotel in London.
