Maine

Vacationland for many but for me it’s simply home.

Update: Sadly we lost the above building/s to a strong storm at Fisherman’s Point on Willard beach in South Portland Maine. I did hear that they will build back better, but this photo will serve as remembrance.

I grew up in Maine and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Maine has a special place in my heart and one day I hope to own a house in my home state. Yes, I know what you are thinking, “you don’t live in Maine?” Sadly. I do not live in Maine; I live in Florida. Now, that sounds like I do not like Florida but it is actually a great fit for us. We love to golf and Florida allows for golfing year round. We also just bought a house and we are enjoying life. One day, I would like to have a cabin or a house in Maine for summers because, to be honest, we are not fans of cold weather.

What I love about Maine

I love Maine though: the architecture, small town charm, local sustainability, nature, ocean, “lobstah”, blueberries, anything Maine really. I just got a box of goodies from my mom and the theme was “Maine”, so she sent a lot of local Maine products, check it out below.
